I’m so excited to have Mike “The Monkey” Senften back for another tutorial on Greyscalegorilla. In this video, Mike shows you how to set up a page turn animation in Cinema 4D using several different techniques including cloth and the bend deformer. Then, he shows you how to texture each page with a unique texture using the excellent Planesmart Plugin by Rick Barrett and Cineversity.
Get Planesmart and a 30 day trial for Cineversity for only $30
Due to the overwhelming demand for PlaneSmart, MAXON USA is offering 30 days for $30 access to Cineversity, for those who want to get their hands on PlaneSmart, but don’t want to shell out the initiation fee or $295. At the end of your trial period, you are welcome to continue with your Cineversity membership for the regular $95 annual renewal fee.
MAXON USA is currently working on a complete rebuild of the Cineversity web site. The current site does not allow for such discounts, so MAXON USA will be running this special through their online shop. Once you order your discounted Cineversity membership, MAXON USA will process your order (during regular business hours) and send you a coupon to register for your full access Cineversity account.
This offer and the coupon expires March 1, 2011
To use this Coupon
Go to the Maxon Shop
Enter your information. You can set your country to United States from any country as long as you are only ordering Cineversity.

?:-3 groovy cant wait to give this a shot
“Sorry, you do not have permission to watch this private video. ”
Hmmm!?
It may have been answered in the long list of comments below, but… I’m not able to view the video either. Is this a friendly reminder for me to finally get vimeo plus?
Thanks for all the insights and time you’ve spent on these tutorials etc.. Look forward to watching this one.
The video is only viewable on Greyscalegorilla for now. Most of my other tutorials are available for download.
Not sure if it’s some weird cookies thing going on or what…I will check, but it’s not viewable on greyscalegorilla. That’s what I intended to say, wasn’t trying to download. I believe “Bagins” had the same issue. His comment is what I see as well. Thanks Nick
*or I should have said it’s showing “creator of this video has not been givin permission to embed on this domain”.
Cookies and Cache cleared was a no go. Sorry for the headache, no worries, I will eventually get to see it I’m sure. Cheers.
Same problem when trying to watch at GSG:

great I really need this one
You read my mind. I have been trying to do this for weeks!
Does that mean 30 day trial for Cineversity, AND Planesmart, or is it a full version of Planesmart?
That is, does Planesmart expire after the 30 days as well?
Planesmart will last for good.
30 day trial of Cineversity and the full version of Planesmart. Planesmart will never expire.
Awesome, thanks.
Quick question though… What if I already have a membership to Cineversity can I still take advantage of the Planesmart discount?
You should be able to download planesmart for free if you are a member already.
Hi Mike…Im Maikel..the guy was drawing the horse and too THE BIG CUTIES…remenber that?…Im happy because you comeback whit your tutorials….men you are awesome….your are my favorite teacher of cinema 4D and Nick Cambell too…
saludos…maiekl.
Hi Maikel! Haven’t forgot about you. Thanks for the compliments. Your illustration is equally stunning. I’ll hit you back up on FB about the logistics of shipping prints.
Thanks for tutorial guys!
Long time I was looking for a right way to do it. And I was close with cloth!:) Anyway found great tips here!
Love your intro Mike !
Always find a few gems in these tuts.
This is AWESOME!! I’m so excited!
I made a book animation with the cloth method… I run into a problem with the render (global illumination), black spots appeared like burned paper… I flushed the Irradiance Cache and deactived Auto Load, but didn’t work… How can I fix this? Render frame by frame?
Anyone? Please, I don’t know how to avoid these black spots in Global Illumination (Full animation)
Awesome. Done.
Hey, really cool offer from Maxon, but is it only available for the US Shop?
Cheers.
Many thanks for this Mike and Nick!!
Really insightful stuff. Always interesting to see how people solve problems. The coupon is, well…awesome!
Heading over to Cineversity right now!!
That was incredible. Thanks to both The Monkey and Nick for setting this up.
It would be awesome if there was a deeper tutorial on XRef’s. They look really useful and I have no idea about them.
Robert Redman gives an intro to XRefs here:
http://vimeo.com/12510672
Your $30 Cineversity test drive will tell you all about them.
Thanks guys for the input, this tutorial is very useful. It’s weird I didn’t notice it before as I follow the Pariah Studios website …
Another great job by the monkey! I noticed on your OSX ‘dock’ that you had spaces that visually group your apps… a quick google search showed me how to do that… very cool!
http://tinyurl.com/yjvlcl4
Awesome… hadn’t seen that. Good find! I had been doing it with a front end GUI app called Docker. I need my space, man.
Why did you make the video private on Vimeo? Now I can’t add it to watch later album so I’ll not see it. Is there any reason it’s published this way?
I did this simply to avoid confusion with the Ciniversity offer… the coupon and explanation are attached to the GSG thread and was hoping to avoid a bunch of nonsense involved with having it in two places. Hope that’s not too much of an inconvenience.
Ok then, I appreciate the response!
Sorry for whining :>
I’m confused!! Where is the video?
Woo! More Monkey Tutorials.
Thanks for those nice page-flipping tipps, monkey!
Sad thing is that this awesome Maxon offering seems only to be available in the states (or around the US), I’m from Germany and my payment is not accepted, your cc-adress must be within those countries in their popup-menu. AAAAAARGH
I will sent an email to Maxon germany that they must (!) apply this to their other stores as well…
(hey I thought this is the world-wide-web)
I don’t need that plugin really but a cineversity membership at that price is really something I need.
I have the same problem. Tell me if you have achieved something, please.
Hmm i payed for this by giving them another adress, and im from europe.
Hope it will work then
payed the 30 bucks.
Thanks for the tutorial Monkey!
@Volker and other folks outside N&S America: to order using the coupon, just include your country in the City field and set the country field to United States. We’ll sort it out here on the backend. MAXON US can fulfill Cineversity and online training worldwide, but we can’t easily remove the check in the shop since we have to limit CINEMA 4D sales to our region.
ok thank you,
I didn’t expect an answer that fast,
in the meantime my e-mail to maxon germany is out maybe they can include this offer in their store too.
But I will go right on ordering in the us-store, I always wanted to have a cineversity acount, thank you!
Thanks Rick, I will order it now, too.
I can’t register on the US Shop with a German address – “There was a problem validating your address – please try again.”
Any suggestions, how to fill in the form?
Yihaaaaa! thanks maxon!
And thanks Mike! really usefull again!
cheers
Having the same problem with validating address, tried as suggested about the country field but still getting the same error.
Hi Rick.
I’m trying to get the subscription but this is what the Maxon guy told me “The message I received when I tried to process your card was that the card is a Non US Card Issuing Bank.
I am not certain of the best way to proceed.”
I’m from Mexico.
I hope you can help me. Thanks
So, I had to use a fake US address, write the real (German) one in the “street” fields, find the correct town/zip/state combination that would yield a successful validation…
…then the credit card number field did not accept spaces between the number groups, although the site says so…
…and then I get the following in my confirmation:
“All prices are quoted and charged in pounds sterling (GBP).”
Uh, what? My account still says $.
*confusion ensues*
Great tutorial! Can’t wait to try out the plug-in. Did anyone sign up for the Cineversity membership. I made the purchase but haven’t received any log in info. What’s up with that?
It might take a bit to get an email back. They have to sign everybody up by hand because of the discount code.
I had a feeling that was the case. Thanks Nick!
Same here.
Any news on this matter?
I´ve got cineversity membership since august and it took like 3 days to work. But after that, it works perfect and you lerarn a lot.
Love it, as well as the presentation
.
Any chance to get the 30-day´s trial for an german reader like me ?
Uppps… i read the comment of the german guy above.
I will contact Maxon, Germany as well and ask for the trial!
Endless thanks to you all of you simian guys!
Very useful info, thanks for sharing Mike.
thanks! nice tutorial!
unfortunately this offer from maxon is not world wide…
anyway, it is good to have another great video from Mike! and thank u Greyscalegorilla!
Hey Nick, I’m getting an error message about the video “The creator of this video has not given you permission to embed it on this domain. This is a Vimeo Plus feature.”
Any way I can see it? I’ve tried both FF and Opera
thanks so much for the tutorial and the information about Cinevesity.
Thanks Mike
Thanks.. great job with the tute. Great offer from Maxon. Gorillas, Monkeys and Whiskey!
Great Tutorial!
What was the software you used for rename again?
thanks in advance
best
“Renamer” is my favorite. You can buy it at renamer.com or on the Mac App Store. Also, I don’t make any money off any of my recommendations. They are simply the tools I like best.
Also good is an app called Name Mangler which I prefer over Renamer. Just another option.
Automator FTW
I’ve got a pink ass – can I be The Baboon?
Great tutorial Mike – thanks man!
I love that guy – he should be in a whiskey commercial!
nuts
Hey Nick
i found this :
http://vimeo.com/9406797
(if it can help)
this is a tut which show you how to make a pirate flag.
thx to the Monkey for that tut (and thx to you too)
Bad timing – it seems our email is down and preventing us from fulfilling your orders. Hang tight guys – we’ll get them out one way or the other tomorrow. Sorry!
Thanks for the great response to the special everyone!
Is this offer only for America? If I try to to use the coupon on cineversity it says “invalid”. If I try the link above to the Maxonshop I can´t choose European countrys and no paypal.
The said thing is thast I live 15 minutes from the Maxon Headquarter away – but I can´t use this great offer.
As long as you’re only ordering Cineversity – just include your country in the City field and set the Country field to United States.
This doesn’t work, still getting invalid address.
You need to find a valid combination of US state, city, and (5 digit) zip code to fulfill the validation criteria of the web page. Like, Washington, District of Columbia, 20098.
Then you enter the real city, zip, and country in the two additional lines for the street and hope the people at Maxon figure it out
“Country in city field” does not work, since the city name is apparently checked against the zip codes.
Another great tutorial over here, looking forward to sign-in to Cineversity, I’m a student and what a great deal having this plugin and Cinevesity trial for just $30
Thanks Nick and Maxon for hookin it up! Great tutorial Monkey!
MONKEY!!! would love to see a list of your favorite plugins for c4d. your recommendations have always led me down the right path. love your tutorials on GSG. As much as we love the gorilla, it’s nice to see the monkey every now and then.
can’t wait for more!!
Ohh Great Freaking offer!!!
I paid the 300 bucks to get my Cineversty acct and I’m looking forward to only having to pay 99 bucks for the renew.
Im bummed on one hand, but then again Ive been a memeber for 5 months. I dont think I could have held out that long not being a member esp if I had no idea this offer was being made.
JUMP on this if you aren’t a member.. totally worth it.
Question for anyone…
How do i customize my avatar? I dont want those geometric shapes.. I want my own avatar..
Set up your own avatar using Gravatar.
…. verdammt, verdammt, verdammt – i live in europe

I love the hypernurbs part, or should we say the “whiskeynurbs”?! : p
Hmm…
This is more and more starting to feel like a blog trying to make money. It has been too much of theese commercial things. Starting to get tierd of it :/
Where is the quality Nick?
If you can tell me how either Nick or I made money off this deal I’m all ears.
1) I already have a Cineversity account and I paid $300 for it
2) I already had a free copy of Planesmart as a beta tester.
I make $0 from Cineversity. I make $0 from GSG. I like the plugin. Without this tutorial/coupon Planesmart would have been cost prohibitive to many young artists and inaccessible to students.
Grab a drink and relax.
Or better yet… hit record and share something with me that’s “quality”.
I find it ironic that the link “humoristic” provides is to a web hosting/online marketing site.
Where’s the money Lebowski? Is this your homework humoristic?
@humoristic thats lame. this site is all about quality, and teaching FOR FREE. I’ve learned so much from GSG. The monkey just hooked us all up, he gave us an large amount of knowledge for free. BIG THANKS To The Monkey, and The Gorilla for quality learning, for free!
Hello, I believe there’s several completely commercial free spelling & grammar sites out there. You’re probably better off spending your time over there as it’s clear you obviously need more practice in the intelligence department and less so with Cinema. Have a nice day now, :;
Or maybe you should grab a drink and relax. Haha.
Hmm we need to get more into Cineversity. Let’s get someone that can make a tutorial. A famous one, give him some money and make him get more people in with a coupon. Or sponsor him with some other stuff…
Maybe that is not the case here. But I have seen a lot of deals here lately. Like red giant stuff etc etc… =) Just tired of it.
Cheers!
I can’t agree more. If there is one thing everyone hates, it’s deals and discounts on great products and training.
Come on… If I see a deal on something that I use every day, i’m gonna try and tell you about it. Cineversity made an unprecedented deal for us and we thought you might want to take advantage of it. Many have already.
Neither Mike nor I get money from Cineversity. If you don’t want to buy it, don’t. Instead, why not just ignore the last 10 minutes of The Monkey’s tutorial and learn Cinema 4D from one of the very best in the business.
If that is not the case. I apologize.
What does it matter if they get flowed product for promoting.
I’ve been skating for 21 years and get free shit non stop, does that mean I shouldn’t tell the kids at skate camp what decks are good and which will crack or get soft after a week? What wheels flat spot after 2 power slides? These guys do this because they enjoy it and if in return they get compensated koots to them. As you age you realize life sucks paying rent/mortgage, supporting a girl that loves to shop, supporting kids, living ones own fun lifestyle etc.
So if anyone can fulfill this by still doing what they enjoy then they are ahead of the game by far. And if they do this while on top of that doing so much for others then that is just disrespectful to be criticizing in anyway.
Bottom line is these guys set aside a lot of time to do what they do and open up to share great amounts of information. Have you ever filmed a tutorial? It’s not easy. And if the tutorial length is 35 minutes you best bet it didn’t take only 45 minutes to record it. No need to apologize all anyone needs to do is just say thank you.
… And sit back with a drink and relax! Maybe spark a cigi too.
Does Planesmart work with 11.5?
Yes.
coupon expired
?
Great tut! Great offer ! thanks Everyone (the Gorilla, the Monkey, and Maxon of course :p)
I tried to get my own pageturn, and I can’t get how you stack pages in the right order after the turn. I have the back of the 1st page on top of the stack of “turned pages”, and cant’t figure how to deal with it… damn it !
That is definitely part of the game. If you found that problem then it means you’re making progress! I believe I simply animated the order during the flip.
I couldn’t sleep since I hate when I can’t do something, so I spent the night trying to do that lol. Turns out I didn’t sleep ^^
I thought of changing the axis on each page, so that they all turn on same axis, but you can’t do that with a cloner… or maybe we can !
And the solution is : cloning pages radially so they get the same axis (the cloner Axis) with a 5° angle and 0 radius. And it turns out pretty well for my taste.
I love it when I get my own technique working
I find the Bend Deformer animating technique
Monkey you rock! I have made magazine pages a number of different ways and you have shown yet another way to animate them! I had used morph tags in one comp and they bit me when I used a cloner.. this would remove that problem entirely! Thank you again!
so awesome … thx a lot guys…
Hi, Monkey
I really like your style of presentation.
lg. Voxel
Another great one from the Monkey, dude one question though. Can we get a real breakdown tutorial on how you animate to audio. I’ve seen all the previous stuff, but you sorta just go over it not really digging down into it. This is a technique I would love to know more about. Thanks for your invaluable insight and great tutorials. Cheers!
I will do my best. I got a little sick of hearing myself talk about sound stuff last year. It always works a little better when you LIKE talking about whatever it is you’re talking about.
Thanks ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
Just wanted to add, –> HorsePower, his Siggraph talk breaks it down pretty well if you haven’t seen that one. If you pause and peek at his object manager you can see how things are set up.
Hey Monkey, thanks for being rad. Don’t hate the haters and hit the road k?
Hey hey,
thanks, great tut.
The cupon does not work at cinevercity, it says is not valid!
yeah monkey
great energy and lots of knowledge.
thank You.
HI Monkey
Thanks for this awesome tutorial.
Is cineversity available only for Us citizens?
I live in Europe. Is there a version of cineversity of us Europeans?
Thanks
Mike, great comeback
Hey Monkey,
Thank you for this really inspiring video.
You talked about a camera plugin for c4d in one of your previous videos?
Can you remember what the name was of this plugin?
steadycam pro
http://homepage.mac.com/tcastudios/steadycampro.html
Excellent stuff, as always Mike!
LOL:
“If you want Nick in the morning with coffee – you get Nick, if you want Mike in the evening with whiskey – you get Mikey…”
Cheers, Mate!
ordered this yesterday but still waiting (still says pending) …
Gotta be a 9.3 for that sign-off! lol
Very 1920′s.
FIrst off no one needs to see the dude the whole entire tutorial.
Secondly he needs to shower.
Thirdlee*? cool tutorial
Fourthly lol
1) I agree. But several spanish speaking users told me I speak kinda fast it was easier to understand me when they could see my lips. So I left the video up.
2) The more talented you get… the less you have to shower.
3) Thanks.
Looked but can’t find the answer…
is Planesmart for r12 only?
anyone?
nevermind…r12 only
I realized I forgot to say I love the monkey (who’s definitely not a “little” gorilla in that case! )
You’re the dark side of the beard, I like that, hope you’ll spend more time with us sharing your knowledge on the dark side of C4D! Greetings from my home!
Thnks Monkey and Nick !!! for the tutorial. I have a question, i am new in cinema, and when clone page turn null, the animation brokes, go to the midle of the turn and get back. How make one obeject from the null with the animation, or how can i do, when put a clone object dont crash the page turn ? thanks again for all the tutorials nick. bye. G.
brilliant, funny, informative and generous. thanks very much mr. simian. you may drink like a monkey but you are a mensch.
Hey Nick and Mike,
There was the mentioning of Siggraph…..are either of you going to be at Siggraph this year in Vancouver? Thinking of heading there in August for the conference.
Thanks.
Realy great tut, big thanx. Can the Monkey or the Gorilla teach us a little more about caching animation and xref, looks very powerfull?
Greetz.
I have a question: You go to the Maxon website, and you pay for the 30 day trial membership, but after that how will you get access to Cineversity? What will allow you to get full access?
Do they send you a code via email?
Yeah, sit tight and an email will come with info on it. I signed up a few weeks ago and it took a day. With possibly hundreds of subscriptions in the last couple days it will more than likely take some time. Remember Nick said they manually subscribe people.
Did you shave that beard? 0.o
please can someone help me to register in the maxonshop?
im from italy.
thanks!.. couldn’t pass one a $30 deal
hmm – seems maxon is having issues with the registration. I paid, got a “how to register” mailed by maxon. But the coupon is not working at the registration. Anyone else here?
I faced the same problem
So what was the solution? Did they send you a new coupon? Right now they don´t even answer my mail…
Incredible….this site ROCKS…The Gorilla and The Monkey are the best teachers… so clear and easy to understand…. Thank you guys… keep them coming…!!!!!!!!!
Awesome Tut! Can’t wait to give planesmart a try. Thanks
Super-useful tutorial Mike, thanks so much — I have always wondered how to do this!
Also forgot to mention that I appreciate your pace and how both you and Nick talk straight — not too ‘polished’ — I learned a lot even from your background discussion of the original project and your thought process… Invaluable for me
Hello!
fantastic tutorial !
Love the style of the presentation !!
specially the where did i put those files ! haahah!!
really alive !
keep on your fantastic work and sharing information !
thanks again!
Hey Mike/Nick,
I did buy the promotion, everything work out but I am not getting any access to the Cineversity forum. They say I have to register again in the Cineversity website and insert a Coupon, but its not this one again I guess (I try it it does not work). The all thing is a big confusion, the true is I already payed 30$ and no trail no nothing! Sad…
If can assist me on try to find out how do I get the second Coupon the will give me access to the Cineversity website I apreciate. Thanks
cheers
@ Carlos: Same problem here (Germany). The sad thing is that this guy at maxon (Michael Hewes) even don´t answer my mails concerning the issue with the missing second Coupon. I have already lost 2 days of the 30 days trial – that really sucks!
Michael Hewes reply me saying the order was still processing and apologizing for the delay. He says I’ll receive the coupon in the next 48hrs top! so i wait and hope it only starts counting form the day I register in Cineversity, wich makes sence!
cheers
INTERNATIONAL USERS!
I’m in the UK and got it to go through the US store by selecting United States Minor Outlying Islands as my country… just got the order confirmation email, so it seems to be all good..!
Yeah, me too I got the order confirmation email, but I did not get any second cuopon to access the Cineversity, did you got it?
cheers
Oh, and thanks Gorilla, Monkey and all other simians… really appreciate this
First of all, Nick and Mike, you guys absolutely and totally ROCK when it comes to C4D tutorials, always something stunning and very informative.
And when you trow in a bomb like this with the cineversity deal, even greaterI
I immediately and gladly paid the 30 bucks.
I just filled in as a US citizen (even if I’m Swedish) and it worked fine.
I got a confirm email but unfortunately I haven’t recieved any reply from Maxon regarding how to get a full membershio after being a free member for a while.
Would be great if someone from Maxon read these comments and could shed some light on the matter.
As i have been told myself, it may take some time, even a few days, before you get the reply from them regarding the purchase. This is due to them manually looking through all the submissions to check the coupon, and since there have been hundreds most likely these past days, i imagine it has stalled the process a bit.
Dont worry – I had the same problems. Now I got my account – it took about 2 days…
Great!
I figured that might be the case.
whats this guys website?
hi,
First off, thanks for a great tutorial. The concept and execution are just awesome. Secondly, I tried recreating your page turn using the cloth method, but can’t figure out how to get the random and step effector to influence the cloner in C4d 12 (they are in the cloner’s effectors box). I’ve paused through your tutorial to look at the settings, and duplicated them, but for some reason, it stays as 1 page, nothing offset. Time offset in step effector doesn’t change anything. Any help would be much appreciated.
Had this same issue but was able resolve with tinkering. Can;t remember what the solution was, if I remember I’ll post.
Same problem here. Cant get the step effector time offset to work when i eant full control of each page.
GRRR eat! Monkey and Whisky rocking.
Some great tips here. What I like about his tutorials is that they are real projects and he talks about the whole process including the needs of the client.
Top Guys For C4D – Cineversity Team, The Monkey, GSG, 3D Kiwi, Rob Redman, Robert Leger, Tim Clapham etc. Thank You Guys For All That C4D Knowledge. I have over 100 GB C4D tutorials (30GB from Cineversity), but unfortunately, I don’t have enough time to learn from sources, because I do some science work for living. 95% of this tutorials I downloaded as free, or someone gives me stuffs through sharing system. I know that is not right way, but today when the world is divided on rich societies and poor small nations, and when the most of the money is fake and virtual, and the most of the people are borrowers, I just don’t care. This kind of human relations is overcome, and liberaly capitalisam, where money is everything sucks, only greed rules. We need more sophisticated society. I suggest this video for open mind people here>> http://www.vimeo.com/19241898 and http://www.vimeo.com/9351470 Cheers!
Captialism totally sucks, I agree. And I’m actually a member of the Zeitgeist Movement. What is important for people to understand is authors and developers put in time and creativity for making plugins and tutorials. They deserve to be credited for that. At C4D cafe its a kinda honour system. They say every 10 or so downloads please donate back. Thats cool. The Making it Look Great series are packed full of stuff for the beginner and fully worth the money. As you said, science is where you make your living, so if someone came to you and wanted research or testing done for free you’d probably be a little taken back by that right? And if you’re employed by the government doing your job it would be tough to keep lights on and food on the table if they didn’t offer you grants or pay you right?
Hamilton, I agree with you mostly. It’s very hard to change things over night, so I look on those times as transitional. All of us have to participate of creating one better gloabal society, which is not globalisation, individual and group differences have to be our edges of connections, with no borders. Because every man is special, and every nation too. There is no superior nations, or superior cultures, that postalate leads to fascism, so we have to save our integrity. I agree with you that some people make large effort to help other people, without payment as GSG, there is no reciprocity, because of we are not equal, process of helping each other is very important, also through interactins with others, and questions and answers we can anticapate or find solutions of special problemas for example C4D problems. I think that Nick is today’s nontypical man and he is so generous, we have to build that kind of society, where all togheter exchanging our knowledges. Payment is very problematic category, which is not evolve much trough 3000 years, but our global economy systems and rules are not rational and appropriate for incoming problems (food, water, energy problems). Art and design are very special fields, also science, but art and design today are also abberant with some unreal payments… for example for one paiting about 100 millions $, while kids in Africa die and starving. think about it. We need new humanism and renaissance.
Absolutely 100 mill is retarded for a painting. So is multi-million dollar sports contracts and Hollywood gigs. But were talking a few bucks to learn and excel in ones craft. And a few bucks to keep the ones who teach us to excel and developing helpful tools continuing to do so.
Is it just me or does Mike look a bit like MacGruber http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqySbDqTGGc ???
You should only grow your hair longer and bang! We’ve got ourselves a true Cinema 4D – tutorialhero.
Nice one. Simple yet effective tutorial! Too bad I don’t live in States… Are the tutorials in Cineversity really worth the money?
Thanks for this Mike!
About a month or so back I got an email back from Paul Babb at Maxon offering me this deal. I was one of the snarky ones saying I’d love to buy just Planesmart for $20 or $30 bucks but didn’t want to pay $300 for the full membership. Hopefully my email didn’t seem snarky, haha I don’t think so. Having spent only a couple days snooping around I saw that I would have actually paid the full price. Lots of great stuff. Dr. Sassi’s huge list of 10 minute tooltime tips is worth it to anyone just learning and this is only a 5th of the content. I guess what I’m saying is it’s worth it at the regular price in my mind and at this price it’s ridiculous not to hit up.
I think the 300$ initial fee is a bit too much, atleast for me. 95$/year is clearly worth it, but the initial fee put me off. However, if the initial fee is only 30$, given the vast amount of tutorials on Cineversity and constantly having new ones uploaded, i think it is very worth it.
I’ll actually use the 30 days to see if it is what i am looking for and if the tutorials are what i want, and if they are i will continue with the 95$/year fee.
Great tutorial! I have a problem however my bend deformer doesn’t seem to perform the way it does in the tutorial. With exact the same parameters the whole page is pivoting, but it is not bending gradually as in the tutorial. What am I going wrong? Thanks for any help
Does your plane have subdivisions?
Thanks for this one! I really digg the loose presenting style from the both of you. It would be great to see more from Mike on this site. The mix between making cool/beautiful shit and the more indepth/advanced workings of C4D would be a winner!
disregard my previous comment, I sorted it out. Thanks anyway
Thank you so very much for the great info. I haven’t seen this anywhere else. You rock.
And thank you nick for haveing this great website. you do so much good for so many people.
God Bless!!
HI, I’M VERY INTERESTED IN THIS 30 DAY TRIAL, BUT I’M LEAVING ON MONDAY ON A TRIP, AND WON;T BE COMING BACK TILL FEB 28TH… WHEN YOU SAY THAT THE COUON EXPIRES ON MARCH 1ST, YOU MEAN THAT IF I TRY TO USE IT THAT SAME DAY, IT WILL NOT BE GOOD ANY MORE?
THANKS!
Hey Rodd,
I’m pretty sure that the coupon kill date and the Cineversity trial are different. When you first apply your coupon code to get into Cineversity, the renewal count down starts from that date. So as long as you make your purchase before the deal expires then you’ll be good and still get 30 days of trial time.
Hey everybody, I got my Cineversity Coupon a few minutes ago… thank you so much!
DUDE. Thanks
Hey Nick,
Thanks for the heads up… Do you know if this deal is available for the UK?
It’s available for everyone. As long as you purchase only Cineversity membership, you can choose any country, even if it’s not the one you reside in.
Can’t see any space for the coupon code?
that was through the maxon weblink… Also tried the cinerversity site direct… coupon code not valid… Any suggestions welcome…. Thanks
Nick said the actual Cineversity website is being revamped by Maxon USA, and that is why i think he provided the link to Maxon USA website directly, so you can get the Cinversity membership with the 260$ discount, as the Cinversity website currently does not support this coupon code.
Also, on the Maxon Shop link Nick provided, if you select buy, then checkout, then payment, you will eventually be presented with a ‘coupon code’ space.
Cool, Thanks!
I plead with you Nick want a lesson like this please
