Great show. I do not mind the Q&A topic. I like it.

  2. bobo says:

It is also wise not to upgrade your quicktime! I got screwed a few years ago upgrading my itunes and quicktime. It made AE not render correctly.

  3. James Wicks says:

I agree with GSG about upgrading, you should be cautious.
Never in the middle of a big project.
    But you know what?
For the first time ever I said WTF, and upgraded to Lion – right in the middle of a number of big projects.
I use FCP 7, AE, PS, AI, C4D, Pro Tools, etc.
After the upgrade, I held my breath … and???
Everything works! And I’ve noticed a big improvement in how fast programs open.
My computer life seems to move faster under Lion.

So, good advice from GSG, and you should follow it.
But, every now and then if you want to roll the dice … you might get lucky.

  4. I was gonna post the question about having too many web-sites as an artist. Like a blog, then a portfolio, vimeo, facebook, deviant art as so on. When does having so many become too many where it takes up too much of your time and you end up spending more time catching up and it stalls you from your work or being creative.
So, I think it’s only impartive that you keep GreyScaleGorilla your main staple home/work website. It will simplify your style and life and so far your site is cool and easy to navigate.
