Robert’s Cinema 4D Reel Intro Animation Breakdown 42 Comments
Reel intro breakdown Part 1
Reel intro breakdown Part 2
Cinema 4D pal, Robert Leger put up a great set of videos where he breaks down his reel intro. I thought it was in interesting look behind the scenes of a great C4D spot from Robert. He also uses the Light Kit Pro Daylight Rig to great effect to give the into a sun kissed look.

i love this reel. (it should also be linked)
-
Very cool, although this has been out for awhile
-
Sweet!
Oh, and you wrote “into” instead of “intro” in de url to the intro
-
lol, nothing been fixed

just letting you know.
also at the “What’s New In Cinema 4D 13″ the very last line has also a mistake. -
Great breakdown. Real nice use of MoGraph and hair in combination. Here’s a tip though: NEVER EVER render channels, that you won’t need. In a optimized pipeline, where it comes to a huge amount of data (rendering in 8k, for example) your director will bully you for outputting a 20x larger footage.
Oh, and thanks for mentioning RockGen.
For those who use R12: RockGen actually works in R12 and (maybe) in R13.
There just has to be something fixed in the source. If anybody want this (unstable) version to use, please let me know.I am still working on an advanced version, but due to a lot of work since the last years, it will still take some months. (But it’s worth it)
-
Rock-Gen rocks! I hope you will keep it alive. Can we have a sneak at the R12 Version?
-
It’s the same version, just fixed a mistake.
I am working on a completely new version, which introduces some cool features. Here’s an example-video of a “rockified” surface.

Hi Robert, this looks like very good plugin. You mentioned that it is possible to get somewhat unstable version for R12. Where can I get that one?
