Yep, if you have ever thought about ever getting my Vintage film for Looks, now is the time. It’s now only $69 down from it’s original price of $99. What’s more, you can now get ALL 17 of the guru presets from Red Giant for only $499. This includes Vintage Film For Looks and tons of other hand made presets, templates, looks, and training from industry-leading designers with decades of experience.

We are talking about really REAL designers here. Not just a nerd with a blog like me. Great artists like Harry Frank, Stu Maschwitz and Nando Costa have Packs that are included in the Guru Bundle.

What is Nick Campbell’s Vintage Film For Looks?
Red Giant asked me to create a set of looks for their Magic Bullet Looks, Quick looks and Photo looks. I have been creating different color corrected looks for photos, video and iphone apps for years, than they thought it may be a good idea to share all of those looks with you with a full set of presets that you could use in your projects. So, I did. Now, I use it all the time. Here are a few videos of it in action.

In this short tutorial, I show you the process of color correcting product shots in Photoshop. Color correcting product shots present their own challenges and can be tricky because you have to keep the integrity of the color and tones of the product in mind and still make it look good. This is true with 3D renders of product shots as well. How do you color correct your product shots?

My fiance needed some photos taken for some clothes she is selling on her etsy store, so I pulled out my good old softbox and home-make ring light to take some shots. You 3D people may be saying “Wait, this isn’t a 3D tutorial”. But there are two reasons why I decided to pull out my flip cam and post this on the blog.

1. Many viewers have been asking for more tutorials about my photography. And, since I was shooting photos, I decided to document it.

2. Learning about studio lighting makes your 3D lighting WAY better. It worked wonders for me.

With that in mind, check out this quick video and stay tuned for a few more photography and lighting based tutorials coming soon.

Oh, and don’t worry, there will be plenty more Cinema 4D tuts coming, too.

I’m so happy to announce my first GURU pack for red giant called “Nick Campbell’s Vintage Film for Looks.” Based off the vintage feel of my iPhone apps, these presets were made to add timeless tone and instant vintage color correction to your projects or photos. What’s really cool, is that these presets work anywhere Magic Bullet works including After Effects, Photoshop, and Final Cut Pro. Check out the links below to see all of the presets in action and a quick video I made to show you how to use the Presets with 3D renders. I’m so excited to see this finally out. I have been working on it for a while now and it’s so great to finally be able to share it with you guys.

You may have noticed during my most recent tutorials and in my new Photoshop training, I have been using Bridge instead of my old standby, Aperture. Many of you have asked why I made the switch. Well, here are the top 11 reasons I switched from Apple Aperture to Adobe Bridge along with a video to explain it all.

1. Workflow: Aperture is an island.

2. Backup: Confusing and untrustworthy backup solution.

3. Other Apps: I use photoshop for everything.

4. Version Control: Aperture saves too many versions when going back and forth to Photoshop.

5. Organization: My old way of organizing (by folders) made more sense to me.

6. Cluttered: Too easy to get Filled up with old projects.

7. Performance: Slow to launch and hangs often

8. Cost: Bridge is free with Photoshop. Aperture is $199

9. Batch Processing: Bridge allows me to use Actions from Photoshop when preforming batch processing.

10. Versitility. Bridge works with more than just photos.

11. Color Correction: CURVES!!!
