A lot of memories about nintendo NES. But maybe too complex to make a mario character… I think that this is gonna reveal the age of al the people in the blog lol… For me is the NES, so implicit kind of retro feeling. But I´m think that younger people is gonna pick the ps3 a psp, a computer of something like that. Anyway lets work and good luck….

I got my first submission ever done today. I’ve only been using C4D for about three weeks, so it’s nothing fancy, but it was fun: http://vimeo.com/17953689

Unfortunately the compression kinda kills the video, but my internet connection is too slow to upload the uncompressed 100MB file, so I uploaded it on Screencast as well, since Screencast doesn’t compress the videos you upload, so you should check out this link as well: http://www.screencast.com/t/Ikd6UhSf

    • I second these hopes. Crappy wheather causing flooding and leaking all over had me delayed, but I plan to still upload something before the end of this day.

While I did manage to get it done by today, I had some troubles uploading it to Vimeo properly; for some reason it ended up compressed worse than a cheap hooker’s bosom.
Odd, since I used the exact same codecs and techniques I’ve used before, and I’ve never had these issues. In any event, I don’t have time to redo it, so it’ll have to do.

    Happy holidays everyone,
    M.

I’m going to eat way too much food tonight and feel sorry for myself. That way I won’t be able to leave the computer next time.

    Foolproof plan.

Me too… I turned mine in at 9pm last night. Worked hard on it considering the family was in town for the Holidays.

Stange, even though I turned it in at 9, the blog posting says it was already the 24th, im assuming it is running in eastern time.

Really hope Nick puts mine in there.

did u consider a time zone? I hope all be fine with you

      Reply
    • Ray Arellano

At first I did not. I assumed it was western time. That was a mistake on my part. Either way, i was able to turn it in through the entry form up top. This is my first project with GSG. All I can do is hope.

      Merry X-Mas All

  18. I just never got enough time – which troubles me. 43 year old dad of two little kids… maybe my concept was too large for me. My vision was a boy and a girl opening presents. The girl is happy because she got a pony, the boy is mad because he got coal. So it looks like the boy is going to take revenge, until the innocent looking pony vaporizes the little boy with eye lasers. The end. Yes. Too much content, too little time. But still, I want to complete it and share it. Anyone else like to create their own version of the same idea?

  20. i feel like you are going to lose participation if there is a month long gap between the closing of the project and an announcement of a winner…. I mean obviously its your blog and you can do whatever you want, but I think people may be less likely to spend the time if it takes this long…
