    Cheers,

    Miguel

  • Due thursday the 23rd or sunday the 26th?

  • NINTENDO 64 thats what this reminded me of lol

  • Can’t wait to try and create something for this! This is a good opportunity to learn from others and get useful and critical comments on your work.

  • A lot of memories about nintendo NES. But maybe too complex to make a mario character… I think that this is gonna reveal the age of al the people in the blog lol… For me is the NES, so implicit kind of retro feeling. But I´m think that younger people is gonna pick the ps3 a psp, a computer of something like that. Anyway lets work and good luck….

  • I’m sure there’ll be many nes entires. Gonna have to come up with something else..

  • Great Project Nick!
i will give it a try!

  • Funny how everybody thins of a NES-memory…

  • I got my first submission ever done today. I’ve only been using C4D for about three weeks, so it’s nothing fancy, but it was fun: http://vimeo.com/17953689

Unfortunately the compression kinda kills the video, but my internet connection is too slow to upload the uncompressed 100MB file, so I uploaded it on Screencast as well, since Screencast doesn’t compress the videos you upload, so you should check out this link as well: http://www.screencast.com/t/Ikd6UhSf

  • Merry Xmax everyone.nice stuff

  • Been following your tutorials for ages now Nick, finally got managed to pull something together the 5 second projects here:

  • Where will content be closed? At Wednesday or Thursday midnight? can i upload my vid at thursday?

  • Here is my entry.

Not Christmasy at all, but I believe it was Jesus who said there is no greater love than to give your life for your friends.
A few frames got dropped sadly 🙁

  • Getting a new Lego set at Christmas was always a big hit.

  • so if you can do such realistic renderings like those…. why arnt there realistic looking cartoons lol

  • So can I upload my video in thursday? or it will be too late?

  • Hey guys! Made something as well, hope it’s worthy!

  • Hoping the deadline means we have at least until thursday night. Really working hard to get my submission in.

    • I second these hopes. Crappy wheather causing flooding and leaking all over had me delayed, but I plan to still upload something before the end of this day.

  • Hi, Nick…this time there is some problems with submission of this video http://vimeo.com/18118749 …..
merry cristmas and happy new year))))

  • Heyj fellow motion designers,

here is what I have discovered on an Ipad of Stone..

  • Ho Ho Ho! Marry Christmas and Happy New Year! Here is my entry http://vimeo.com/18122903

While I did manage to get it done by today, I had some troubles uploading it to Vimeo properly; for some reason it ended up compressed worse than a cheap hooker’s bosom.
Odd, since I used the exact same codecs and techniques I’ve used before, and I’ve never had these issues. In any event, I don’t have time to redo it, so it’ll have to do.

    Happy holidays everyone,
    M.

  • Should have mine in by 8 tonight. Sorry for the delay Nick, Got the fam in town for the holidays!

  • There was a problem with my submission.

    Happy holidays

    Here is my entry. Enjoy.

    http://vimeo.com/18136670

  • yea mine hasn’t gone through yet. heres mine, merry xmass n stuff. made with TRAPCODE

    http://vimeo.com/18111820

  • waaaa i don’t finish yet U____U

  • Okay finally, got mine in, think its processing at the moment, but here it is.

    Hope its somewhat worthy.

    Merry X-mas to ALL!

  • Dangit! Didn’t have time..

I’m going to eat way too much food tonight and feel sorry for myself. That way I won’t be able to leave the computer next time.

    Foolproof plan.

  • it’s a pity that my video wasn’t submitted on 23…I tried to submitt, but it didn’t appear on channel related to this theme((((((

    • dont worry, if u have sent your video in time its okay

    • sps…sometimes TAKING PART in something is much more important then VICTORY, you know what i am talking about…no vse ravno spasibo za info, na oskar ne tynyu za 3d, no pritno vremenami licezret svoe malenkoe video v krasivoy galeree…kritika kontakty itd

    • I totally understang you) Ya tebya ponimayu i polnost’yu soglasen

  • Hey Nick,

I sent my submission yesterday just on time (http://www.vimeo.com/18124738) through your form. It still doesn’t appear on the channel and you say this session is closed ? Did you received it ?

    See ya and “joyeux Noel”

  • cant wait till the latest works will appear in the channel(

    • Me too… I turned mine in at 9pm last night. Worked hard on it considering the family was in town for the Holidays.

Stange, even though I turned it in at 9, the blog posting says it was already the 24th, im assuming it is running in eastern time.

Really hope Nick puts mine in there.

    • did u consider a time zone? I hope all be fine with you

    • At first I did not. I assumed it was western time. That was a mistake on my part. Either way, i was able to turn it in through the entry form up top. This is my first project with GSG. All I can do is hope.

      Merry X-Mas All

  • Mine doesn’t show either.. My first 5 Sec. project done here at GSG.

  • I just never got enough time – which troubles me. 43 year old dad of two little kids… maybe my concept was too large for me. My vision was a boy and a girl opening presents. The girl is happy because she got a pony, the boy is mad because he got coal. So it looks like the boy is going to take revenge, until the innocent looking pony vaporizes the little boy with eye lasers. The end. Yes. Too much content, too little time. But still, I want to complete it and share it. Anyone else like to create their own version of the same idea?

    • This actually makes me ashamed because of course if this were a job, I’d be in trouble not only with my employer but future ones as well… :/

  • Here is mine. http://www.vimeo.com/18102097
5″ of the “best present ever” only makes it “the shortest present ever”.

Espero que los Reyes magos nos traigan muchas cosas.

  • Im starting to worry about it) many days have passed and no any updates in the channel

  • i feel like you are going to lose participation if there is a month long gap between the closing of the project and an announcement of a winner…. I mean obviously its your blog and you can do whatever you want, but I think people may be less likely to spend the time if it takes this long…
