Buttons are everywhere! They’re on the front of your coffee maker. They’re all lined up on your nicest shirt. They’re over there on that one machine over there. They are even waiting for you to click them on the internet.
You know what a button is, right? Then you have no reason to skip out on May’s Five Second Project.
Press them, click them, stomp them, or button them. Use the theme “Buttons” to create a five second animation and submit it on the Five Second Projects page. Our favorite videos will be featured in a post on the GSG site. Happy Rendering!
The Five Second Project for March is ready, and you might want to put on some sunglasses for this one.
Use the theme “Bright Lights” to create a five second animation and submit it on the Five Second Projects page. Our favorite videos will be featured in a post for the world to see. Just try not to blind us, will ya?
The Olympics are well underway as the world’s best athletes compete to bring home the gold for their country. Coincidentally, we’re having our own GSG olympics this week!
The competition: use the theme “Olympic Gold” to create a five second animation and submit it on the Five Second Projects page. Our favorite videos will be featured in a post for the world to see. Go for the gold and make your mother proud!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Well, we think so, but not everyone would agree.
In this month’s holiday-themed Five Second Project, squash the holiday cheer by using the theme “Bah, Humbug!” to create a five second animation and submit it on the project page. We’ll give you through the end of the year to show us your inner Scrooge.
PRO TIP: Try using the theme as a visual metaphor. In other words, there shouldn’t be a need to add the theme name as text in your animation.

In this month’s Five Second Project, we want to see what you can get cooking. Use the theme “Pots ‘n Pans” to create a five second animation and submit it on the project page. Boil on high until tender, but no longer than November 24th, 2013.
Since there’s never an excuse to stop learning, we’re heading back to school this month. Your take-home assignment: use the theme “Homework” to create a five second animation. Make sure to turn it in before the bell rings.
Okay, so maybe we’re not six years old anymore, but we think you’re never too old to build a sandcastle. Show us your sandy-styled creation in a five second animation.
You may have heard, but there is this band called Daft Punk that recently put out a new album. To celebrate, we released these professionally modeled Daft Punk helmet models for Cinema 4D. They should be able to give you a good jump start on this month’s theme.
Be creative and show us what you can do Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger in a five second animation.
Easter may be long gone, but you can never get enough protein. Over-medium, scrambled, or fresh outta the chicken: show us your eggs in a 5 second animation.
Yep, it’s time for another Five Second Project. This month’s theme is “Candy Hearts”. It’s time to show the LOVE! Maybe it’s a 5 animation for someone (or something) you love. Perhaps you write out a special message on those yummy heart shaped candies? Not feeling the love? It’s ok. Interpret the theme however you see fit. Just make something, will ya? Get rendering!
