How to Melt Objects Using the Jiggle Deformer in Cinema 4D

February 4, 2016

lolipop_groupIn this tutorial I’m going to show you how you can quickly and easily create melting like effects using the Jiggle Deformer. We’ll start by modeling the lollipop, then we’ll move onto using Weight/Vertex Maps to define which parts of our lollipop geometry we want to melt. Next, we’ll use a Pose Morph tag to be able to animate our drips via animating the Vertex Maps. We’ll finish the tutorial off by texturing our lollipop to make it look like tasty candy! Yum!

If you have any questions be sure to post it in the comments section and if you create any drippy candy action, be sure to share it with me! Thanks for watching!

  • me encanta el estilo que siempre le das a tus proyectos en c4d, aun que creo que tienes muy osucuro la ventana del c4d

  • excelente muchas gracias por el tutorial 😉

  • Amesome tutorial – like always.
Im experimenting a lot with this!

Im curious, is there any way to use this technique, and make it look like it is about to make a drop? Like it is dripping.

Thanks again for a great tutorial.

    • Thanks!

With this Jiggle Deformer technique, I don’t believe there is an easy way to do it. For drips you’ll probably either want to use some Metaball workflow or do some sculpting by hand.

  • 10:00 min mark error screwed me up so bad that i got frustrated and didn’t finish. Should really edit out these errors

  • how can i download the video, like always i do?
