Write With Clouds Using Thinking Particles and Pyrocluster in Cinema 4D

July 16, 2013 - By

In this tutorial I’ll be going over how you can write with clouds using Cinema 4D’s Thinking Particles and Pyrocluster. First, I’ll show you how to set up your clouds and clone them onto your spline object. Next, I’ll show you how you can set up your scene to allow Mograph effectors to effect the Thinking Particles to randomize the scaling and position of the clouds. Finally, I’ll show you how to scale up the clouds along a spline, creating the “write-on” effect.

  • Hey EJ,

I really enjoyed this post, but could it be that it is somewhat incompatible with r16?
Also I noticed that the splines on which you put everything needs to be quite huge.
Otherwise the entire scene is just smoke.
Also could it be that there’s a maximum of characters before it becomes illegible?
I’m a hopeless noob, so any help or gotchas are welcome.

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

Great Tutorial. Can you please make a tutorial on how to make a text look completely round without converting the text into an object. A guy named Tarek Akkad has something made but he makes the complete Balloon Typeface by modeling it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bEj-IM7uq4 A

    Thank you or your efforts.
