I love to hear the stories from our members and community over the years about how Greyscalegorilla has played a part in building careers in 3D.
But, this industry asks a lot from artists. You are expected to recreate entire worlds, make them look realistic, and get it all done on time and on budget.
This industry has come a long way, but there is still SO much more that can be done to make 3D creation process more seamless, more fun, and more intuitive to artists.
It’s with all this in mind that we are so excited to make this announcement.
Greyscalegorilla is merging together with our longtime friends at KitBash3D to build the future of 3D tools and assets together.
We are huge admirers of KitBash3D’s commitment to helping artists create realistic 3D worlds with best in class assets. They have done so much to help bring their mission to many different industries and 3D artists with their incredible Cargo tech.
We have been friends and peers with KitBash3D for many years, and have always shared a similar mission and commitment to 3D artists. Together, we know that we can do even more to help artists create their vision without all the complication and mess that 3D can often bring.
A Note From Our Founders

GSG and KB3D have come together because we believe something deeply:

From the beginning, KitBash3D and Greyscalegorilla have been working toward a shared vision to empower 3D artists. We’ve just been approaching it from different angles. What brought us together is the same belief that has always guided our work: help artists make their best work and bring their ideas to life.
This merger lets us go further and move faster. It gives us the ability to combine our strengths, share what we’ve learned, and start solving even bigger problems for the artists we serve.
We’re standing at a moment of incredible change. Workflows are reshaping. Platforms are shifting. The tools we rely on are evolving every day. It can be exciting and overwhelming at once. But through all of it, one thing matters most to us:
The artist stays at the forefront.
Together, we’ll explore new frontiers and build tools that are intuitive, powerful, and open. Tools that work the way artists think. Tools that help you express your vision without getting in the way. As new technologies reshape the way we create, we believe they should be built with intention. They should support the creative process, not replace it. They should amplify your voice, not diminish it.
We’re also deeply committed to culture. We will continue to build a company that values craft and curiosity. A place where artists feel supported, not squeezed. We know what it feels like to work inside broken pipelines or use tools that don’t speak the same language. We’ve lived it too. And we’re here to make that better.
There’s much more to come, and we can’t wait to share it with you. But for now, we want you to know that everything you love about Greyscalegorilla and KitBash3D is staying right where it is. The products, subscriptions, support, and services will continue uninterrupted. All three founders are staying on, and our teams are more excited than ever to take this next step together.
